Our Church

Plant City Church of God by Faith was founded and built in 1969. Elder Thomas Faison was the first Pastor of the church. He and First Lady, Margaret Louise Faison served faithfully and devoted their lives to the ministry for 23 years.

 

Over the years the church has been blessed with several pastors who have ministered and labored, and many souls were added to the church. We thank God for each of them. The church’s membership grew and was blessed with many pioneers who have labored and brought the church to its present state. Many who have gone on to be with the Lord. We thank God for their work in the Kingdom of God.

 

The First Mother of the church was the late Corrine H. Mathis. The First Sunday School Supt. was
Brother Samuel Moore, who is still with us today and still serving in the same position.

 

Over the years Plant City Church of God by Faith has made many improvements to its edifice. Thank God for the dedicated work of the pastors and members, past and present: who have labored to see the church in its present state today. In the past seven years, the church was renamed New Beginnings Worship Center | Church of God by Faith.

 

In October 2018 Elder Oscar Jones was sent as Interim Pastor and in December he was officially
appointed as Pastor of New Beginnings Worship Center | Church of God by Faith.

 

Pastor Jones began his tenure as Pastor in January 2019 with his wife First Lady Evangelist Ann Jones working beside him. Their endeavor and mission are to spiritually empower and equip every believer to become effective ambassadors for the Kingdom of God.

The ministry has taken a full cirle. In April 2022 Elder Thomas Faison and his wife Mother Margaret Faison will once again become the pastorial leaders of New Beginnings.

While Elder Oscar Jones and his wife Evangelist Ann Jones will move forward with another pastorial assignment within the COGBF. God has blessed New Beginnings as the ministry continues to grow.
